About the project

Hybrid Sophistication

A bungalow imbued with classical and rural details, encapsulated in the uncomplicated lines of modern design.

Q1 Interior transports the quaint country side to this generously sized modern bungalow with the faithful rendition of classical details alongside aged, whitewashed, or lightly treated varieties of wood. The foyer provides hints of the décor to follow by presenting an assortment of provincial elements, distributed evenly over a modern interpretation of a rural console table. Accompanying this thematic presentation is an array of blossoms to prime the naïve eye for the rural vibe.

The foyer leads into an open layout – interrupted briefly by a seating arrangement of leather upholstery in cream and a modern coffee table composed from dark wood at its centre. A white plaster extends only as far as needed to demarcate the lounge from above, leaving an empty double-height void for sunlight to stream in. The ceiling above the seating lounge displays fluted cornice mouldings of classical tradition, albeit composed in the strict lines of modern taste.

About the project

SPACIOUS YET WARM, THIS HOME exudes elegance, where the soft golden tones are accentuated by bold, dark finishes. Generous in size, the home has a
large open living space with a chic and cosy style that is created by integrating plenty of modern elements. As seen in the lounge area, the spacious area is filled with simple, contemporary pieces in neutral tones to create a tranquil ambience.

Combining a variety of textures and materials – leather, textured rugs, glass and wood – the demure flair is amplified, enhancing the soothing and relaxing vibe. To complete the space and to add a touch of colour and softness, quaint flowers are placed around the space for décor.
